Title: Insignia
Location: Essex Regiment Chapel, Warley
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Our club had a photoshoot arranged this morning at the Essex Regiment Chapel in Warley, near Brentwood. We had a private viewing and the opportunity to take pictures wherever we wanted. The church is very dark inside, so a monopod was essential. There are also some very fragile Regimental Colours hanging in the church, so I don’t think they put many lights on. This carving was on one of the 10 chests containing memorial books naming the fallen of WWI. I just happened to catch it in a weak shaft of sunlight, which made the carving relief stand out.
