Notes: Day one of my holidays! I spent most of it driving, but managed a quick walk in the centre of Carlisle as the light was looking rather nice. Flakey paint on a old door attracted my attention. I thought it made a good find for Treasure Hunt Theme #19 – Dilapidation/decay.

Notes: I went for a stroll along the canal at Ulting this evening and as well as some pleasant views of canal barges, the farmer was baling up his straw for the winter. I liked his automatic machine which threw great bales out the back when it was ready.

Notes: This was a faded sign I found on a tree in Hylands Park. It was put up during the V Festival, and they are still clearing up a week later. I really liked how the ink has begun to run and fade. Tie-dying for 2010 perhaps!
