Title: Band In A Bell
Location: Ingatestone
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 100-400mm EF f/4.5-5.6 L IS
Notes: I spent a very enjoyable afternoon out at the Ingatestone & Fryerning Horticultural Society show on Seymour Field in Ingatestone. There was a dog display team, stalls, prizes for the best flowers, the local fire brigade and the Royal British Legion Brentwood Marching Band. As usual, they supplied some great music and plenty of photographic opportunities. This guy playing a tuba caught my eye as you can see the rest of the band and the fluffly clouds reflected in the bell of his shiny instrument.

Title: Infinite Worlds
Location: Blackpool Promenade
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: It was our last day in Blackpool today, and so Alistair and I spent a few hours finding some more geocaches before heading home late afternoon. This was near a rather nice fun little Solar System just off the promenade, and was meant to be one of the planets, made from concrete and inset with glass beads.

Title: Abstract Distraction
Location: Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: A great day at BarCamp Blackpool2 today. This was a detail of the bar, reflected chairs and little blue bits of bokeh which I thought made an interesting composition.

Title: i In The Sky
Location: Heybridge Basin
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I spent a very enjoyable evening pottering about Heybridge Basin on a photowalk with the GNPC folks. This was a view across the Lakes as the sun went down. Yes, it’s a bit hackneyed, but so what?!

Title: Ugly Trio
Location: At home
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: Back to work in the home office today, quite a change from the environment I’ve been used to over the last 6 weeks. At least I had Wedgehead, Jeero and Wage for company – but they were very quiet! They make a good find for Treasure Hunt Theme 28 – Toys. But don’t tell them that.

Notes: Straight stripes reflected in a curved surface. I liked the contrast in shapes and textures.

Title: SMEG
Location: Cambridge
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: It was the second day of Barcamb3 in Cambridge today, and I rather liked the shiny red SMEG fridge in the kitchen area of the office. It made a great find for Treasure Hunt Theme 30: Shiny.
