Day #1176Title: Bloomin’ Lovely
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 60mm EF-S f/2.8 USM
Notes: After the promising sun of the weekend, it was a return to drab grey today. I’ve injected some colour by looking at the neighbours’ flowers which are in bloom and poking over my fence.

Day #1169Title: Paddling Ducks
Location: Rising Sun Country Park, North Tyneside
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Having been cooped up indoors all weekend for Maker Faire, Alistair and I decided we needed to get out in the sunshine for the afternoon. So we went to Rising Sun Country Park in Benton. It’s 400 acre park made on the site of an old coal mine, having been extensively cleared and cleaned up in 2003. We saw lots of birds, deer and plenty of great scenery too. We might also have found a few geocaches while we were there… Anyway, it was good to get some fresh air in the lungs – it almost felt like spring!
