Day #1822

Day #1822 Title: Washed Up
Location: Margate, Kent
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 100mm EF f/2.8 L IS USM
Notes: After the excesses of yesterday, we took a constitutional stroll on Boxing Day morning from Margate to Botany Bay. The sun came out for us for a while, even though it was very cold and windy once we had ascended to the top of the cliffs from the shelter of the beach below.

Day #1736 Title: Crompton & Co. Ltd
Location: Chelmsford & Essex Museum
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm f/1.7
Notes: After a grotty start to the day weather wise, it perked up a bit this afternoon so Alistair and I decided to go and do some research for a local puzzle cache at the museum. We got all the clues, and worked out the final position, but will go and hunt it properly tomorrow. In the meantime, there were plenty of interesting things to see in the museum – this plaque was on the side of a large piece of early electrical equipment. We’ve met Colonel Crompton before, on Day #1665!

Day #1701 Title: Pylon Symmetry
Location: St Lawrence
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 IOS
Notes: Another geocaching trip with Alistair today – this time on the Dengie Peninsula. I liked the pattern formed by the struts of this pylon, under which we found one cache. The clouds helped to give it some interest too.

Day #1645 Title: Platform Puddles
Location: Ingatestone Station
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 IOS
Notes: July has carried on where June left off – more heavy rain! This scene presented itself when I got off the train this evening. I thought it would make a good shot for Treasure Hunt Theme #60 – Urban Fragments.
