Day #3283

Posted by Caz on Monday, 26th December 2016

Day #3283Title: Sunset Warmth
Location: Wivenhoe, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX7 / Lensbaby Trio 28mm f/3.5 (Sweet/Velvet/Twist)
Notes: The downstairs cloakroom at Mum and Dad’s house has textured glass in the window. These were the colours as the sun set this afternoon, reflecting off the neighbour’s shed. The Lensbaby Trio helped to isolate a smaller section of the pattern.

Day #3248Title: The Storm Has Passed
Location:  At home
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GH3 / Panasonic 100-300mm f4.0-5.6 Lumix G Vario Power OIS
Notes: It was a very wet journey home from Kent today, with the aftermath of the remnants of Storm Angus hanging about. But by the time I got home, the sun had come out. Unfortunately, I then had to do jobs indoors, so this was all I had time for.

Day #3245Title: Leaded Light And Studs
Location:  Birchington, Kent
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GH3 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: I had to go to Kent today to do some training for clients. I had a bit of time to spare beforehand, so took a little walk around the village of Birchington to kill some time. This was a colourful detail on a front door along the high street which caught my eye.

Day #3187Title: No. 33
Location: Westminster, London
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX7 / Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 Lumix G II ASPH
Notes: The light was rather nice at lunchtime when I escaped from work for a little walk around Westminster. This fine old Georgian property was crying out to be photographed – so I just waited until two characters walked past to give it a bit of life.

Day #3111Title: The Frilly Porthole
Location: Paper Mill Lock, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GH3 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: A little detail I spotted while walking along the canal at Paper Mill Lock today. The bright colours attracted my attention, and then I noticed the frills – perfect for Treasure Hunt Theme #35 – Frilly.

Day #3093Title: Can A Sofa Change Its Stripes?
Location: Elstree, Hertfordshire
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GH3 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: A little bit of sunlight makes all the difference… The light through the Venetian blinds made a rather attractive pattern on the sofa in reception at Elstree. But in answer to the question – yes, it can – when the sun goes in!

Day #3070Title: Fire In The Windows
Location: Creeksea, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GH3 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: I was back roaming about on the Dengie Peninsula this evening, not somewhere I find myself very often. Creeksea Church had a window which faced towards the sunset, reflecting some warm colours and defining interesting textures.
