Day #3455

Day #3455Title: Dublin Docklands
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX8 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: We had another good wander around Dublin before heading to the airport late this afternoon. This is Samuel Beckett Bridge, which swings open to allow traffic through, in the heart of the regenerated Docklands. I liked the way it looked like an Irish harp. And I hadn’t realised until I wrote up today’s blog, but it was designed by one of my favourite architects, Santiago Calatrava. Not surprised!

Day #3452Title: Auld Dub
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX8 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: Finally, my holiday! The day I’ve been waiting for for weeks. I had booked it before the General Election was called, and was counting down the days. I met up with Alistair in Dublin for a wander around before we headed off to Bray where we will be staying for the next few days. This was a scene just south of the River Liffey as we ambled around the back streets.
