Day #3368

Day #3368Title: Snaking Away
Location: Hockley, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX8 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: I made the most of the sunshine today and took myself off for a walk around Hockley Woods. One path lead me around the outskirts where I had this view across the fields. I loved the curvy tracks, snaking away into the distance. It seemed to cry out for the mono treatment.

Day #3367Title: Problematic
Location: At home
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX8 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: I’ve been struggling with some trigonometry today. I was trying to solve a puzzle which would give me the co-ordinates of a geocache in London. If my A Level maths teacher had told me I would need it for caching in 30 years’ time, I might have paid more attention! Still haven’t cracked it, but I’m not sure where I have gone wrong, so I think I will have to start again. Hey ho.

Day #3366Title: Welcome To Wilton’s
Location: Whitechapel, London
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX8 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: After my conference had finished this afternoon, I had a Travelcard burning a hole in my pocket, so I decided to make the most of the remaining daylight and go hunting for a few geocaches before travelling home. One brought me here, to Wilton’s Music Hall, a fantastic old building in the heart of Whitechapel. It has a very chequered history, but has recently been restored and is now the oldest surviving music hall in the world. I loved the faded grandeur of the outside, it would be great to get a look inside the building sometime.
