Light As A Feather
Title: Light As A Feather
Location: Hornsea, East Yorkshire
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX8 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: I had a lovely picnic by the sea at Hornsea on my way home from Newcastle today. This gull feather was spotted lying in the sand, and I thought it would make a good image for today’s Mono Mayhem shot.

The Flying Scotsman
Title: The Flying Scotsman
Location: Newcastle, Tyne & Wear
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX8 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: We spotted smoke rising from the King Edward VII Bridge across the Tyne. Having a gricer for a Dad, I sent him a text message and he looked up online that it was likely The Flying Scotsman en route to Edinburgh. Pity we didn’t see it closer up, and I didn’t have a longer lens to hand, but never mind, a steam loco is always worth a picture.

How Far To Rome?
Title: How Far To Rome?
Location: Wallsend, Tyne & Wear
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX8 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: We went to visit Segedunum today, the Roman Fort at the easternmost end of Hadrian’s Wall. You can see how far it is to Rome here. The soldiers must have felt a very long way from what they knew as home.
