Back To The Toon

Posted by Caz on Saturday, 14th August 2010

I’ve just come back from spending a week in Newcastle, visiting Alistair the One-Armed Bandithe’s broken his elbow. Having done the same myself a few years ago, I know it’s rather painful!

We managed to get out for a few little photowalks while I was there, despite the less-than-cooperative weather, on occasions. Here’s my selection of images from the trip:

July ’10 Review

Posted by Caz on Sunday, 1st August 2010

July was another busy month for me! There were several trips away, notably to Blackpool and then Suffolk on the first two weekends of the month. Then photowalks to the Ingatestone & Fryerning Show and back to Suffolk at Gelmham Hall for a battle re-enactment for the next two weekends.

In between all that gadding about, I managed to find the time to finally visit the Kentish lavender fields whilst the crop was in bloom. I’d been promising myself I would last year, but only remembered when it was far too late. Here are some abstracts from the fields:

A few days later, I was treated to some wonderful atmospheric effects when I went for an evening walk. It was the first time I’ve seen an Sundog and such lovely cirrus clouds:
