Earlier in the year, I had grand plans to visit Japan this September, but for various reasons that didn’t come off. Instead, I bought myself a new camera and decided to take a trip up to the Western Isles of Scotland – somewhere I’d not visited since 2005. I spent 10 days touring the islands by ferry and car, and covered over 1,600 miles by the time I returned home.
You can see the full photoset on Flickr, but here I’ll present you with one shot each day from the trip which didn’t quite make it as photo of the day.

Future Plans
As you can see, there were plenty of beautiful landscape shots. I hope to be able to make another Blurb book from the best of my Scottish pictures in the near future – stay tuned! It will be a similar format and price to my very successful Essex Landscapes book from last year.
