I enjoyed a great mini break in Bournemouth at the beginning of April. Alistair & I were going to BarCampBournemouth and decided to spend a few extra days down there geocaching, which always presents great photo opportunities. The sun mostly shone for us, here’s a near-miss for Day #457:

[Heading down the pier]

We also explored stretches of the Bourne Valley Greenway, which runs for several miles through the centre of the town. It’s a real hidden gem. This was a close contender for Day #458:

[Japanese Bridge and shadows in the Bourne Valley Greenway]

Easter weekend wasn’t particularly good for weather, and it wasn’t until later in the month that I had a couple of good days out with the camera. One was on 22nd April whilst out geocaching around Little Burstead. This was a strong contender for Day #478:

[Footpath Through The Gold]

I spent the next day on a trip to Marks Hall with a photographer friend David. We enjoyed the gardens and I found this tranquil scene which almost made it for Day #479:

[Swan Lake, Marks Hall]

Our Chelmsford Photo Walk started the Centenary Circle on the last Sunday of April, walking the Broomfield-Springfield leg around New Hall. This dandelion was taken on the walk to the Tudor school, which I also liked for Day #482:

[Dandelion Clock closeup]
