Day #302

Day #302Title: Double Stripes
Location: City of Lonson
Camera: KMZ Moskva 5 / Industar-24 105mm  f/3.5
Film: Ilford Delta 100
Notes: The sinuous curve of these double yellow lines around the pavement caught my attention while I was shooting in London today. I just waited for some feet to come into the frame to complete the picture.

Day #260

Day #260Title: Smithfield Market
Location: Smithfield, London
Camera: Univex Mercury II (CX) / Universal Tricor 35mm f/2.7
Film: Kodak Tri-X 400 (expired)
Notes: I don’t go to London for ages and then two trips in the same week – this was rather impromptu but I decided to attend an evening tech event where one of my friends from Leeds was speaking. I travelled during the afternoon and took a wander for some photos on the way. This is Smithfield Market (renowned for selling wholesale meats) now largely quiet as most of the business of the day goes on very early – well before I get up!

Day #195Title: We Fix
Location: Brick Lane, London
Camera: Yashica 44 Black / Yashikor 60mm f/3.5
Film: Agfa APX100
Notes: I had arranged to meet some friends for dinner this evening in London, so I travelled up a bit early and had a wander around Brick Lane. The graffiti is always good for a few shots. This was a detail from one piece which read “Can we fix it with Photoshop?”. I wonder… It’s saved my bacon on a few occasions! I had loaded the modified Yashica 44 Black with a roll of 35mm film for full sprocket-hole effect.

Day #93

Day #93Title: 23 Miles
Location: Ingatestone, Essex
Camera: Franke & Heidecke Rolleiflex T1 / Tessar 75mm f/3.5 + Rolleinar +1 Close-Up Lens
Film: Ilford FP4 125
Notes: We went out for a trip today to visit a few mile posts which form the basis of a series of my geocaches called Are We Nearly There Yet?. As their owner, I was doing a spot of maintenance, making sure the logs were dry and had plenty of room for people to sign. The one in Ingatestone is particularly crusty but attractive in its own right. And of course it makes a great shot for Treasure Hunt Theme #73 – Distance.
