Day #212

Day #212Title: On Safari…
Location: Galleywood
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes:
I was camped in front of my computer for much of the day again today. But I did manage to nip out this evening to take a few shots at my favourite sunset-watching location. I thought this looked a bit like the view you might get on an African Safari. Not bad for south Chelmsford, eh?

Day #211Title: Roofline
Location: Norwich Market
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes:
Spent a very pleasant day visiting Norwich today – I haven’t been for years, and I’d forgotten how nice it was. I took lots of different images, but picked this one because of its iconic association with the town – it’s the roof of the refurbished market in front of the Town Hall. A great splash of colour.

Day #210Title: Neighbours
Location: Burnham-on-Crouch
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes:
I had a client meeting in Southminster this morning and afterwards, decided to go a little further to Burnham for a walk along the sea wall and have some lunch at a local pub. I found these two lovely Georgian doors next to each other on the promenade – I rather liked their symmetry, even with the subtle differences.

Day #208

Day #208Title: Enjoy
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 50mm EF f/1.8 + 12mm extension tube
Notes:
There’s nothing quite like a long, cold, fizzy drink – chocked full of ice – to keep you cool on a hot summer’s day.

Day #207

Day #207Title: The Eagle Has Landed
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: This week’s 366 theme is Toys & Games, so I dug out one of my childhood models for this shot. For those of you not accustomed to watching bad 70’s Science Fiction, this is the Dinky Toys Eagle Freighter #360 White Body/Red Thrusters (2nd release) (I’m not that much of a geek, just found the spec on the web!) from Space 1999, which I used to watch avidly as a kid. It still has all 4 nuclear waste pods and a working winch. The paintwork is in pretty good nick, and it hasn’t lost any of the plastic thrusters. I should really have taken a photo of this for Day #203 as that was the 39th anniversary of the Moon landing. Better late than never!
