Day #216Title: Down In The Jungle
Location: At home
Camera: Canon Ixus 850IS compact
Notes: I haven’t cut the grass for ages, as you can see. Today, Tidy The Garden had floated to the top of my “can’t put it off any longer” list. I managed to get it all done and have a good hack at some overhanging plants around the gate before the heavens opened for a short, sharp shower. So I retreated inside for a nice soak in the bath.

Day #215Title: The Lady In Red
Location: At home
Camera: Canon Ixus 850IS compact
Notes: This is a character for my miniature teapot shop, whom I acquired from a visit to Maple Street yesterday. This week’s theme is Red, so I thought she would make a good picture for today to fit the subject. She is very fond of Art Deco teapots, as you can see.

Day #214Title: Summer Meadow
Location: Near Royston, Herts
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
I stayed near Cambridge with friends last night, and decided to cut across country on the way home to see if I could find any pictures. As I was motoring down the A10 just south of Royston, I saw this meadow from the road. I was just cursing the lack of places to stop when a lay-by hove into view. A few yards back, I found a convenient gap in the hedge, but had to negotiate a steep ditch and a patch of stinging nettles – rueing the decision to wear cropped trousers – before I was able to get into the field. But it was worth it as this vista opened up.
