Day #273

Day #273Title: Rear Of The Year
Location: At home
Camera: Canon Ixus 850IS compact
Notes: I bought some new jeans the other day. One of the reasons I liked them was the fancy stitching on the bum pockets. And since this week’s 366 theme is Behind, I thought I would present you with a picture of  my best side. You have no idea how difficult it is trying to photograph your own backside whilst still wearing the jeans in question. The things I do for 366…

Day #272

Day #272Title: Sunday Morning On The Thames
Location: Richmond
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: After an evening containing beer, plenty of Werewolf and lots of silliness, the happy Campers finally flaked out around 3am last night. I managed to grab some sleep but woke before 8am. After a spot of breakfast, I went to look at the Thames and was rewarded with a wonderfully atmospheric view of the bridge at Richmond. There was lots of mist floating on the water, the birds were wheeling and then a team of rowers hove into view under the arches. Magic atmosphere. I knew I was unlikely to better it later in the day, so although it’s an early one, it’s going to be Picture Of The Day.

Day #269

Day #269Title: The Church Door
Location: All Saints, Terling
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I had a meeting in Feering today, and although the weather wasn’t too great first thing, it had perked up afterwards. So I took a detour on the way home to visit Terling Windmill. It was hard to find! After looking around the church, I asked some locals where I might find the mill, who were only too happy to direct me. A tour around the back lanes brought me to the mill in the end, and I did take some pictures (the building has had its sails removed and is now a private residence). But I preferred this image from the church as the best one of the day.
