Day #598

Day #598 Title: Walking In My Mind
Location: South Bank, London
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I spent a great afternoon wandering the South Bank with my friend Ann, swapping freelance and photography tips, as another of my 40@40 events. Despite the unpromising weather initially, the sun came out for us and this image really struck me because of the contrast in colours against the normally drab concrete around the QEII Hall. The trees were also dressed up in red and white polka dots, which was rather fancy!

Day #375

Day #375Title: Fine Details
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 50mm EF f/1.8 + 12mm extension tube
Notes: It started off foggy again this morning, but the sun was out by mid-morning. I was hoping to nip out for some photos at lunchtime, but I turned my back and the weather had turned grim again. So I had to resort to a macro shot for today’s image. This is the detail of a lovely evening bag I was given for Christmas.
