Day #545

Day #545Title: Wheatfields
Location: Great Baddow
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Another month has rolled around, which means it was time for the Chelmsford Flickr Photowalk today. We tackled the Great Baddow to Galleywood leg of the Centenary Circle this time. It looked quite promising on the map, but on the ground the terrain wasn’t terribly interesting. There are only so many pictures you can take of fields of wheat. Plus the light was very hazy, so we were lacking blue skies. This shot was one of the first I took, but has turned out to be one of the most vibrant.

Day #471

Day #471Title: Where’s The Path?
Location: Woodham Mortimer
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I managed to get all of my urgent jobs over with by 3pm this afternoon, and so nipped out for a short walk at Woodham Mortimer, near Danbury. Love it or hate it, the Oilseed Rape is beginning to flower again. I’ve had to pick my way gingerly across many a field during some walks in the past, but this path was more than obvious, being about six feet wide! And spookily, I didn’t realise that I photographed exactly the same stuff on the same day last year, until I wrote up the blog!
