Day #523

Day #523Title: Woodland Canopy
Location: Holybred Wood, Little Baddow
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: Despite having the start of a runny cold coming on, I decided to take a walk this afternoon before the rain sets in for the rest of the weekend. Holybred Wood is a lovely little spot and when the sun came out, the ferns were glowing under the trees. I loved the contrast in greens I found. A different take on a similar subject to Day #255.

Day #521

Day #521Title: Banded Demoiselle
Location: Margaretting Tye, Essex
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: While the sun was out this morning, I took a quick walk around the fields near Margaretting Tye. This Banded Demoiselle (Calopteryx splendens) was resting on a blade of grass next to the River Wid. I used the British Dragonfly Society‘s website to help with the identification.
