Day #409

Day #409Title: Encased In Ice
Location: Great Leighs
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I found this scene on my way home from a client meeting in Great Leighs this morning. The plants at the roadside were next to an enormous puddle, which was regularly splashed through by numerous vehicles. I presume each time they got splashed, the water would gradually freeze and ended up encasing the foliage. I then met Mel for a walk near Billericay for another of my 40@40 events, but the photos from the afternoon weren’t so interesting as this one.

Day #391Title: Rain, Rain, Go Away
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 100-400mm EF f/4.5-5.6 L IS
Notes: A disappointing day: I was hoping to go on a photowalk with some local Flickr friends today – the first of a (hopefully) monthly get-together. But in the end, everyone decided it was too wet to meet. This just about sums up my feelings about the day – a puddle outside in the street, with incessant rain falling and depressing, grey light everywhere.
