Day #762 Title: Just The Three Of Us
Location: Chelmsford & Essex Museum
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: We had another Chelmsford Flickr walk this morning, and whilst the main walk produced a few shots, they weren’t as interesting as this one! We ended up in the newly-revamped Chelmsford & Essex Musesum to see the 2009 Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. Well worth a visit. And on the way home, I had a call from a friend inviting me to an impromptu late lunch just around the corner, which was a lovely suprise.

Day #761 Title: Reflections On Renzo
Location: New Compton Street, London
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I spent a great day in London at a workshop on Urban Abstract Photography with Photosocialise. We had a short presentation first, then went out shooting for 2½ hours before coming back to have some of our work appraised. It was a fab day with plenty of sun and blue sky. Whilst this isn’t the most abstract shot I took today, I really liked the colours and reflective disruption in the water. It’s one of Renzo Piano‘s latest works which is being put up in St Giles High Street. I realise it’s quite similar to yesterday’s shot too, but that’s how things go sometimes.

Day #760 Title: Shire Hall & Oak Leaf
Location: Chelmsford
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: This afternoon’s weather wasn’t promising: when I left home it was beginning to sleet. Then we had a very impressive hailstorm whilst I was having a meeting in town – it nearly drummed so hard on the coffee shop conservatory roof that we had trouble hearing ourselves think! But once the meeting was done, I had another couple of errands to run in town, and by the time I’d completed them the sun had come out. This is a view of one of Chelmsford’s few “iconic” buidlings (we seem to be sadly lacking in seminal architecture as a Borough) – the Shire Hall, which stands at the top of the now pedestrianised High Street. In a puddle, for good measure. Ideal for Treasure Hunt theme 39 Urban Fragments.

Day #759 Title: The Man In The Red Turban
Location: Marylebone Lane, London
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: I went to London today for a very productive meeting about possible future contract work. On the way back home, I had a quick wander around some of the back roads just off Oxford Street. I was framing up this shot when a man in a vivid red turban walked by – marvellous timing! I thought this would make a great shot for the Treasure Hunt theme 40: In The City.

Day #758 Title: Creativ Color BVROY
Location: Moulsham Lodge
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: This morning, I finally got around to having a haircut. These were some examples of hair extensions in the salon – not that I was thinking of having any, but I liked the bright swatch of colours.

Day #757 Title: Blackwall Bridge View
Location: Roxwell
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: I took a quick detour to Roxwell this afternoon on my way home from a meeting. The sun was out, so I could hardly rush straight back, now could I? The birds took off just as I was composing the shot, although they are a bit hard to see at this size!
