Day #1065

Day #1065Title: Berried
Location: Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I had a walk around Chelmsford in the snow today. Most of the paths had already been treated and were very slushy. I cam across these three berries sitting on the pavement in Moulsham Street.

Day #1063Title: Icing
Location: Galleywood Common
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 60mm EF-S f/2.8 USM
Notes: After several flat grey days which I spent holed up indoors, the sun finally poked its head out this morning. So I got off my bottom and had a potter around Galleywood Common and then the canal near Ulting. I loved this ice-laden leaf backlit by the sun.

Day #1062Title: Cracking Up
Location: At home
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: Another bitterly cold day, and no snow to make it worth going outside for. I actually ventured briefly into the garden to grab this shot of the ice in the Tsukubai Japanese bowl. It has been pictured on Day #147 and Day #709 already, but only Dai has previously found it frozen.

Day #1060Title: Hole In The Wall
Location: Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I took a long walk around Chelmsford yesterday on the hunt for Blue Plaques. On my way, I passed this rather intriguing display set in the garden wall of a house. There are several different sculptures along the wall, but I liked this one best. Good to see a householder with a sense of fun! Even Dai took a shine to the little blue van at the top right.
