Day #1086

Day #1086Title: Paws For Thought
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 60mm EF-S f/2.8 USM
Notes: The snow is beginning to turn rather slushy, although it will still take a few days to melt. I went outside to try starting the car this morning (I couldn’t get the doors open yesterday due to the central locking being frozen!), and I found these perfect kitty prints in the snow. You may complain about getting cold feet in this weather, but just imagine having to walk around on bare feet outside…

Day #1015

Day #1015Title: Dead Wood
Location: Mundon, Essex
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: With such a gorgeous blue-sky afternoon, I could not resist a trip out for some pictures. I thought I would finally go to see the petrified oaks at Mundon, as I’ve been meaning to visit them for ages. I did the conversion with Silver Efex Pro, which I was reminded to try a few days ago. Looks great, but quite pricey.

Day #982

Day #982 Title: Corran Àird a’ Mhòrain, Uibhist a Tuath
Location: North Uist
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Today was all about sand! I did a very tiring but rewarding 7-mile hike out to Àird a’ Mhòrain via Tràigh Iar, Udal and back via Tràigh Ear. This was a pattern I found on the spit of sand at the north end of Tràigh Ear. The dark colour comes from particles of peat mixed with the sand. I liked the abstract nature of this found object.
