Day #1326

Day #1326 Title: Points Bridge
Location: Wylam, Northumberland
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 10-22mm EF-S f/3.5-4.5 USM
Notes: Despite threatening weather all afternoon, we managed to stay dry during our geocaching walk around the Wylam Valley. Points Bridge is on the course of an old railway line and crosses the Tyne upstream of the village. The track is now a cycle way, but the old Victorian bridge is still a vital link across the water. A good find for Treasure Hunt Theme #47 – Somewhere New To You.

Day #1314 Title: Any Old Iron
Location: Central Leeds
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 50mm EF f/1.8
Notes: I spent a most enjoyable day at LeedsHack today, and managed a quick geocaching walk this evening with Alistair. We found four caches, and on the way along the canal, this scene presented itself as the sun was going down – detail from a rather fine old Victorian bridge.

Day #1161

Day #1161Title: Per Rege Et Lege
Location: Bridge End, Leeds
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 20mm EF f/1.7
Notes: Recovery day after Think Visibility. We had a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and then a pleasant walk along the canal finding some geocaches on the way back to the car park before the drive home. This is the Leeds City crest on one of the old Victorian bridges, given a bit of photoshop treatment.
