Day #1800

Day #1800 Title: Happy #1800!
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mmEF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Some crazy light painting to celebrate my 1800th Day milestone today. You’ve no idea how many attempts I had to do this. It’s one exposure of 66 seconds, changing the gel in front of the torch between each character, in the dark… No wonder I couldn’t get it right the first (or 20th) time!

Day #1788 Title: Staccato Spin
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 7D /  10-22mm EF-S f/3.5-4.5 USM
Notes: Another physiogram session this evening with better torches. Not only did I get one with a narrower beam, I also found one with a UV LED, so thought I’d have fun with that too. As these marvellous patterns are governed by the laws of Physics, I thought it would make a great practical illustration for Treasure Hunt Theme  #59 – Scientific.

Day #1775 Title: Goggle-Eyes
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 100mm EF f/2.8 L IS USM
Notes: I decided to have a go at some indoor light painting this evening. This and a series of others were made with a little fan which has flashing LEDs on the blade. A bit of experimentation with shutter speeds, and I got some interesting patterns. Read more about Indoor Light Painting.
