Day #1748 Title: Walls Have Eyes
Location: Holborn
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 10-22mm EF-S f/3.5-4.5 USM
Notes: I spent a very enjoyable morning in London with a couple of friends giving some photo coaching and doing a practical shoot near the British Museum. We also had a tasty lunch nearby and then said our goodbyes. They seemed to get a lot out of it and went away buzzing with enthusiasm, which was a great feeling. The afternoon light was too good to waste so I decided to take a walk back from Holborn towards Liverpool Street, finding some geocaches on the way. I passed this arresting mural in High Holborn and couldn’t resist waiting for a passer-by to walk into the frame.

Day #1554 Title: Mosaic Mural
Location: BBC Television Centre
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 IOS
Notes: In 2009, the Department of Culture, Media and Sport granted parts of Television Centre Grade II Listed status. One of the key features they cited was this double-height mosaic mural by John Piper which adorns one wall of what used to be Main Reception. When the BBC moves out in 2013/14, this and other iconic areas will be preserved while the rest of the building is redeveloped.
