Day #2026

Day #2026Title: Window Drips
Location: Heybridge Basin
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 100mm EF f/2.8 L IS USM
Notes: We had a lovely sunny evening at Heybridge Basin for the GNPC photowalk this evening. There were the usual nautical shots to be had, plus a rather stunning sunset. But this window showing old dripping paint is the one I chose for today’s shot. I also found an interesting image for the Mono Blog nearby.

Day #2022Title: Public Health Warning
Location: King William IV, Great Notley
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 8-15mm Fisheye EF f/4 L USM
Notes: We were messing about at the GNPC Summer BBQ this afternoon, and for some reason Robbo decided to pose with a ciggy. I had the fisheye lens on the camera at the time, so the result isn’t exactly flattering! But it did make a powerful image which I was pleased with – especially since I don’t often “do” people pictures.

Day #1938Title: Gimme Shelter
Location: Southend-on-Sea
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 10-22mm EF-S f/3.5-4.5 USM
Notes: We enjoyed another sunny Spring day – two in a row! I met up with some friends from GNPC in Southend-on-Sea for a few hours photoshoot along the prom. This old shelter provided some great geometry with the sun streaming through its windows, casting curvy shadows on the floor. I also picked another strong black and white image for the Mono blog today. And you can see more pictures from the outing.

Day #1871 Title: Frothy
Location: Great Notely
Camera: Canon PowerShot G12
Notes: GNPC committee meeting this evening, held in the pub! Trouble is, it’s a long drive, so I was on the no-alco beer again, despite it being served in this rather attractive Peroni glass.
