Day #2175Title: Chelmer Swirl
Location: High Chelmer Shopping Centre, Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 18-55mm EF f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
Notes: I had a long walk into Chelmsford today, firstly for a geocaching Flash Mob in the High Street and then a random wander. This is a bit of ICM of the Christmas decorations in the shopping centre.

Day #2170Title: Staggered
Location: Exchange Square, Broadgate
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 17-40mm EF f/4 L USM
Notes: I took a wander this evening On my way back to the station to find some pictures of the Christmas illuminations. There is a rather fine looking reindeer guarding Broadgate Tower just behind Liverpool Street station. My only disappointment was he didn’t have a red nose!

Day #2163Title: You’ve Got The Eye
Location: Fitzrovia, London
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 40mm EF f/2.8 STM
Notes: I had an interesting encounter this evening. I was walking from Clerkenwell to Fitzrovia to meet friends for dinner, making a few pictures along the way. Close by the British Museum, I was lining up an image of railings as a man walked by. He suddenly stopped, looked at the railings and said “What do you see? I walk by here every day but don’t see anything interesting”. I showed him the image on the back of the camera, and he remarked:

“Yes, you’ve got the eye” as he walked away, a smile on his face…

Day #2146Title: Dusk At Leadenhall Market
Location: City of London
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF5 / 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 IOS Pancake
Notes: Alistair and I were going to a friend’s birthday dinner in London this evening, so we arrived a bit early and took a walk through the city and along the Thames before making our way to the restaurant. I love the old Victorian architecture of Leadenhall Market, which looks particularly good around dusk with the yellow lights inside and the Blue Hour outside.

Day #2111Title: A Night On The Town
Location: Whitecross Place, London
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 17-40mm EF f/4 L USM
Notes: Back to Whitecross Place again for today’s shot. I love the lights in this square which remind me of a huge dance floor! I didn’t see many City folks doing a boogie as they crossed it, though – what a shame.
