Day #2128

Day #2128Title: Obedience In The Park
Location: Chelmer Park
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I had lots of jobs to do at home today after my weekend away, but managed a quick walk around Chelmer Park this afternoon once the sun had come out. This lady was training her two dogs and paused in the perfect place to give some more interest to my composition.

Day #2052Title: Benchmark
Location: Upper Frobisher Crescent, Barbican Centre, London
Camera: Canon PowerShot G12
Notes: I spotted this bench and its shadow as I walked to work via the Barbican Centre this morning. Always a sucker for some strong shadows, I thought it would make an excellent image for Treasure Hunt Theme #69 – Benches.

Day #19187Title: Give Way
Location: Great Baddow, Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 40mm EF f/2.8 STM
Notes: It looked a bit like Spring today, even if it didn’t feel like it! (Sunny but still bitterly cold). I vegged on the sofa until mid-afternoon, then decided I needed to get out for a walk. I just took my 40mm lens with me as I wanted to travel light, and decided I was going to look for something suitable for the Treasure Hunt Theme #20 – Triangles. This shadow was lurking at a road junction…

Day #1894Title: Foggy Evening
Location: Bournemouth
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 /14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 IOS
Notes: We arrived in Bournemouth this evening ready for BarCamp Bournemouth5 tomorrow. It was a very wet journey and there was thick fog when we finally landed – but it did give a bit of atmosphere during a late evening walk to find a quick bite to eat. The bike and its shadow made a good foreground.

Day #1885Title: Red Wall & Shadows
Location: Lord Nelson Court, Wivenhoe
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 45-200mm f/4-5.6 IOS
Notes: We finally had some decent amounts of sunshine today! It’s been a while. I was visiting Mum and Dad and we enjoyed a sunny but cold walk along the Quay in Wivenhoe. The shadow of an ornate wrought iron bench on a balcony projected onto the modern red wall caught my eye. Here’s a different view, in mono.
