Day #2104

Day #2104Title: Beneath My Feet Begin To Crumble…
Location: Wharf Road Car Park
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF5 / 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 IOS Pancake
Notes: We went for a walk into town this afternoon and stopped by the Wharf Road graffiti wall for the first time in a few months. It’s all changed again, of course. This section caught my eye. The title comes from the old Unit 4+2 hit, Concrete And Clay:

The sidewalks in the street, the concrete and the clay
Beneath my feet begins to crumble, but love will never die
Because we’ll see the mountains tumble, before we say goodbye

Day #2040Title: Dual Aspect Window Boxes
Location: Bicknacre, Essex
Camera: Canon PowerShot G12
Notes: This evening I went for a geocaching walk around Bicknacre. I found these colourful window boxes on a little Chapel and thought they made a good shot for Treasure Hunt Theme #73 – Window Boxes or Pot Plant Displays.

Day #2023Title: Hole In The Wall – Repainted
Location: Chelmsford
Camera: Canon PowerShot G12
Notes: I last photographed this wall nearly three years ago on Day #1060 – when it showed some interesting patina to the old paint. I’ve noticed over the past few weeks that the owner has been renovating the panels one by one and repainting them in vibrant colours. So I thought this would make a good subject for today’s image.

Day #2021Title: The Yellow Barn
Location: Parsonage Green
Camera: Canon PowerShot G12
Notes: I walked a very hot nine miles this afternoon, looking for tupperware again. I was planning to find more, but decided to leave the rest until a cooler time. Just after I had found the last box of the day, I spotted this bright yellow barn a field away. So I took one final detour to get a bit closer. I love the contrast in textures with the bricks and weathered wooden planks, and of course the cheery yellow hue.

Day #1981Title: Living On The Edge
Location: Walkergate, Newcastle
Camera: Canon PowerShot G12
Notes: A long day, largely spent driving home from Newcastle in the bright sunshine. Sadly not much time for making pictures, but I took this in Alistair’s back yard before departing. It’s amazing how tenacious these little flowers are, barely hanging on in the cracks. I also managed a quick walk when I got home to catch an impressive sunset.
