Day #2183

Day #2183Title: How Much Is That Reindeer In The Window?
Location: Wivenhoe
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 18-55mm EF f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
Notes: This morning I enjoyed a long walk around Wivenhoe, the village where I grew up. In the older part of High Street there were some fun Christmas decorations in the windows. I spotted this festive reindeer and knew he had to be my picture of the day.

Day #2165Title: \|/ | |
Location: Whitecross Place, London
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 18-55mm EF f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
Notes: I took a wander around Broadgate this evening on my way back to the station. I’ve photographed the area before, as far back as Day #350, Day #414, and Day #428, but I haven’t been back recently. I liked the varied colours of the lights, shapes and textures here.

Day #2080Title: The Sun Can Still Get In
Location: Great Sutton Street, London
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF5 / 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 IOS Pancake
Notes: I caught this brief flash of sunshine just as I was arriving in the lobby of the office building this morning. Pleased to see that a grille on the window doesn’t stop the sun from getting in!

Day #2040Title: Dual Aspect Window Boxes
Location: Bicknacre, Essex
Camera: Canon PowerShot G12
Notes: This evening I went for a geocaching walk around Bicknacre. I found these colourful window boxes on a little Chapel and thought they made a good shot for Treasure Hunt Theme #73 – Window Boxes or Pot Plant Displays.

Day #2026Title: Window Drips
Location: Heybridge Basin
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 100mm EF f/2.8 L IS USM
Notes: We had a lovely sunny evening at Heybridge Basin for the GNPC photowalk this evening. There were the usual nautical shots to be had, plus a rather stunning sunset. But this window showing old dripping paint is the one I chose for today’s shot. I also found an interesting image for the Mono Blog nearby.

Day #1975Title: The Harbourmaster’s Window
Location: St Peter’s Basin, Newcastle
Camera: Canon PowerShot G12
Notes: Our 10 mile geocaching bike ride today took us along the Walker and Byker stretch of the Tyne. St Peter’s Basin is always good for pictures (last seen on Day #1539). This time around, the window of the Harbourmaster’s House, with its colourful clapboard sides, took my fancy.
