Day #1949

Day #1949Title: Blinded By The Light
Location: BBC Television Centre
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 8-15mm Fisheye EF f/4 L USM
Notes: We were treated to another wonderfully sunny day today. My attention was caught by the stripy patterns thrown onto the wall of this office by the Venetian blinds. I also found great shots for my 50@50 and Mono MayHem projects too.

Day #1938Title: Gimme Shelter
Location: Southend-on-Sea
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 10-22mm EF-S f/3.5-4.5 USM
Notes: We enjoyed another sunny Spring day – two in a row! I met up with some friends from GNPC in Southend-on-Sea for a few hours photoshoot along the prom. This old shelter provided some great geometry with the sun streaming through its windows, casting curvy shadows on the floor. I also picked another strong black and white image for the Mono blog today. And you can see more pictures from the outing.

Day #1913Title: Perpendicular Path On The Wall
Location: BBC Television Centre
Camera: Canon PowerShot G12
Notes: Another little architectural detail from TVC today. I’ve photographed this red stripe before (on Day #1225) but this shows a wider view from the central  courtyard of the donut. I thought it would make a good shot for Treasure Hunt Theme #33 – Perpendicular.

Day #1906

Day #1906Title: Etchings
Location: Toot Hill, Essex
Camera: Canon PowerShot G12
Notes: It was the Essex Geocachers’ social meeting this evening, which happens every couple of months at different pubs around the county. Basically, it’s an excuse for a pint and a natter. The Green Man at Toot Hill was this month’s destination – indoors they have some fine etched glass mirrors on the walls which I rather liked.

Day #1885Title: Red Wall & Shadows
Location: Lord Nelson Court, Wivenhoe
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GF1 / 45-200mm f/4-5.6 IOS
Notes: We finally had some decent amounts of sunshine today! It’s been a while. I was visiting Mum and Dad and we enjoyed a sunny but cold walk along the Quay in Wivenhoe. The shadow of an ornate wrought iron bench on a balcony projected onto the modern red wall caught my eye. Here’s a different view, in mono.
