Day #2719

Day #2719Title: Roman Remains
Location: Chesters Roman Fort, Chollerton, Northumberland
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 8-15mm Fisheye EF f/4 L USM
Notes:  We took a trip to Chesters Roman Fort at Chollerton along Hadrian’s Wall today. I’ve been wanting to visit the wall for some time, but it’s never happened on previous visits to the North East. Chesters is quite well preserved – this is a view of the Praetorium (Commandant’s House) showing the Hypocaust under-floor heating at the bath block and of the structure. I thought the fisheye lens gave it a different look.
