Day #2917

Day #2917Title: Moored Fishing Fleet
Location: Wivenhoe Quay, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX7 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: I enjoyed a walk to the Quay this morning – the sun even came out for me! The fishing fleet in the village used to be huge, but these days there are only a handful of vessels registered. They were all quiet and restful today.

Notes: After last night’s visit to Wivenhoe withGNPC, I stayed at Mum & Dad’s (who live in the village) and took another walk along the Quay this morning to find a picture. The tide was coming in – but it will be a while before this boat is floated again.

Day #2775Title: Rowing Into The Sunset
Location: Wivenhoe, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX7 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: GNPC had a club outing this evening to Wivenhoe – somewhere I know well, having grown up in the village. We had a great walk and ended up at the Jetty, the perfect spot for looking west along the River Colne towards this glorious sunset. At just the right time, the Wivenhoe Corsairs Gig Rowing Club hove into view.
