Day #2883Title: Knocking On Heaven’s Door
Location: Nazeing Church, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX7 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: I’m always captivated by the grain and patina on old church doors. It makes you wonder how many hands have rested on the handle to open it, over the years.

Notes: Oooh, I do love a bit of moss. These tactile specimens were on a little footbridge near Magdalen Laver Church.

Day #2843Title: Knock! Knock! Who’s There?
Location: High Easter, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX7 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: In contrast to yesterday’s architectural image, this one is rather more spick and span! A lovely brass door knocker spotted in High Easter today. Perfect for Treasure Hunt Theme #39 – Ornate.

Location: Terling, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX7 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: This crusty specimen was close to where I parked while finding a cache near Terling today. It certainly has seen better days.

Day #2757Title: Tarred And Feathered
Location: Ingatestone, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX7 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: I took a wander around the village of East Hanningfield this evening to look for some images. I don’t know why, but this telegraph pole oozing tar caught my attention. I know, it needs some feathers, I thought… and just along the road I found some – so returned to set this image up. Perfect for Treasure Hunt Theme #25 – Feathers.

Day #2754Title: Popped Pegs
Location: Great Notley, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX7 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: A quick shot this evening of some colourful pegs hanging on a line. They were in the playground of the church where our photo club meets – I think the kids use them to peg out their paintings to dry before they take them home. One or two seemed to be a bit paint-spattered but I found some cleaner ones and lined them up nicely.

Day #2753Title: 45 Degrees
Location: Chelmsford Cathedral, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX7 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: Having used up my roll of Kodak Royal Gold in London yesterday, I hot-footed it down to the local mini-lab this afternoon to get it developed. I had an hour or so to wait, so I took a wander around Chelmsford looking for pictures. This gate and memorial flagstone is at the entrance to the Cathedral. I liked how the shadows obligingly lined up to make the bench and gate angle at 45°.
