Day #3207

Day #3207Title: Pylon Switch
Location: Cressing, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX7 / Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 Lumix G II ASPH
Notes: I was walking another section of The Essex Way today, with a couple of friends. We left a car at either end of the route between Cressing and Coggeshall. The scenery was mixed, but this pylon was the thing that caught my eye. I liked the way the wires switched direction at this point, adding a bit of interest to the scene.

Day #3201Title: Sinuous Curves
Location: Vauxhall, London
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX7 / Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 Lumix G II ASPH
Notes: More architecture caught my eye today. These are new apartments which have been built by Vauxhall Bridge on the side of the Thames. I liked the wavy profile here, and the viewpoint emphasised the way they appear to be stacked on top of each other. A great find for Treasure Hunt Theme #64 – Stacked.

Day #3186Title: Telegraph Dusk
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GH3 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: I was faffing about at home for most of the day, but had to go out this evening just as the sunset was looking promising. The pink tinge to the clouds was rather attractive.

Day #3173Title: Evening Light On The Bridge
Location: Tower Bridge, London
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX7 / Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 Lumix G II ASPH
Notes: The weather was rather nice today, so I took a walk along the South Bank after work. I got to Tower Bridge to find some lovely golden light on the structure.

Day #3163Title: Breezy In Burnham
Location: Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GH3 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: Alistair and I took a trip to Burnham this afternoon to find a few geocaches and have a walk. It was very windy by the river today, which was great for the sailors but less so for us, who got blown along the sea wall!

Day #3147Title: Over The Hill And Far Away
Location: Cressing, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GH3 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: Today’s trot was along part of The Essex Way between White Notley and Cressing. The fluffy clouds were providing a nice counterpoint to this lone tree and pylon in the landscape.

Day #3137Title: Welsh Sunset
Location: Somewhere along the A483
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GH3 / Panasonic 7-14mm f/4 Lumix G Vario
Notes: I had a very enjoyable day bagging geocaches in various counties in SouthWales, then headed to The Blorenge near Abergavenny to hike up the hill for the oldest cache in Wales. After a frustrating hour searching a boulder field, I eventually found the pesky box! Then it was a very long and slow drive to Oswestry, where I was staying for a few nights. Somewhere along the A483, this sunset presented itself. Even though it was already 9pm and I had further to drive, I couldn’t help but stop to make a few images. Apart from cloning out a few stray branches from a nearby tree, this is straight out of camera – an amazing colour in the sky!
