Day #3501

Day #3501Title: Library Lines
Location: Shoebury, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX8 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: Shoebury has a swanky new library. Its roof is quite funky – looking rather splendid in the sunshine today.

Day #3369Title: Terrible News From The TV
Location: At home
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX8 / Panasonic 35-100mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario Power OIS
Notes: I had been debating whether to go into the office at Westminster today or just do my meeting by phone. In the end, I chose to work form home and once the news of the terrorist attack around the Houses of Parliament broke early this afternoon, I was very glad to be sitting on my sofa watching events unfold on the TV, instead of stuck inside a building very close to the action. Later on, I noticed a blood red sunset happening across the rooftops. With the TV aerials prominently in the frame and ominous clouds behind, it looked like an apocalyptic warning. It also makes a suitable shot for Treasure Hunt Theme #22 – Chimney(s).

Day #3321Title: Flint Cottage
Location: Hylands Park, Chelmsford
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX8 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: Another dull day, looks like February is going to be rather wet and grim! I had to drop off some more books at the second hand bookshop in Hylands Park stables today, and took a quick walk around the grounds afterwards. The old Woodcutter’s Cottage has featured in a Mono MayHem image from 2012 and a I chose a close up of one of the windows on Day #2487 in 2014. Today it looked rather forlorn thanks to the grey sky. Mono seemed to work best.
