Day #3561Title: Corrugated Abstract II
Location: Burwell, Cambridgeshire
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX8 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: I was in Burwell today for a geocaching event. We picked up lots of litter around the village and I found a few caches along the way. I spotted this abstract pattern along a footpath – I loved the textures and patterns on the corrugated iron and paint.

Day #3555Title: Open Wounds
Location: Fobbing, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX8 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: I find peeling paint quite attractive. This wonderful specimen was found on the side of a metal shed as I walked around the footpaths of Fobbing.

Day #3533Title: Alien Landscape
Location: Great Dunmow, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX8 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: I do like a bit of grunge. Alistair and took the bikes to another section of the Flitch Way near Great Dunmow today. We found an old railway bridge with graffiti which had rusted and burned, which was bursting with potential. I homed in on a section which looked like an alien landscape.

Location: Danbury, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX8 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS

Day #3388Title: Rust & Ruin
Location: Chiswell Green, Hertfordsire
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX8 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: I finished work quite early today so was able to go for a walk around the village of Chiswell Green to mop up some geocaches which I either hadn’t looked for, or had had a go but failed last time. This was a rusty abstract I found near the second box I went in search of.

Day #3347Title: Lichen Archipelago
Location: Little Baddow, Essex
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX8 / Panasonic 45mm f2.8 Leica DG Macro-Elmarit ASPH
Notes: This morning promised to be sunnier than the afternoon, so I headed out for a quick walk around the footpaths near Sandford Mill Lock to find a geocache. It was at a metal bridge over the Canal, which is wonderfully crusty – lots of peeling paint layers and plenty of lichen and rust. I homed in on a small area to get the best textures.
