Day #273

Day #273Title: Face Down Tuesday – Exercise Machine Edition
Location: Chelmer Park
Camera: GoPro Hero 3+ Black
Extras: GoPro Pole / Wireless Remote
Notes: Tuesday – so time for another Face Down picture. This is the outdoor gym in my local park, a quick walk from the house. Alistair always likes to be different, so he decided to go Face Up for this one. An ideal shot for the current 52 Weeks Theme, My Neighbourhood.

Day #272

Day #272Title: Rugby Fan
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Extras: Tripod / CamRanger / Yongnuo YN-14EX Macro Ring Flash
Notes: Just before I run out of month, I thought I ought to do my next In The Frame shot. This time, it shows I’m a big of a rugby fan. I first got into it when England won the 2003 Rugby World Cup. I used to attend as many England games as I could at Twickenham, and saw Saracens play numerous times around the UK, but recently the ticket prices have shot up and I’ve been distracted with other activities. I still watch the Six Nations tournament when I can, however. Treasure Hunt Theme #09 – Once A Month – September.

Day #270

Day #270Title: Who’s Queen?
Location: Microsoft, Victoria, London
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 18-55mm EF f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
Extras: Self-timer
Notes: Fooling around at BarCamp London X today, which takes place all weekend at Microsoft’s central London HQ in Victoria. Each of the meeting rooms had been specially decorated with a different theme – one was covered with huge playing cards. So I chose this one for a quick picture.

Day #269

Day #269Title: A Sunny Day In Saltburn
Location: Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Cleveland
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 17-40mm EF f/4 L USM
Extras: Camera Rucksack / Self-timer
Notes: The only Pier on the East coast which I hadn’t yet visited for my Piers of the Realm project was at Saltburn-by-the-Sea, a town close to Middlesborough. We decided to take a detour on the drive from Newcastle to Essex today, as it was very sunny and would be a great opportunity to visit the pier. It turned out to be a lovely afternoon at the seaside, if a little blustery. We had fish and chips on the prom to round off our visit, then a long drive back home.

Day #267

Day #267Title: Farewell Dinner
Location: Pacific Quay, Glasgow
Camera: GoPro Hero 3+ Black
Extras: GoPro Pole / GoPro App
Notes: We finally tidied up everything in time for shipping tomorrow, so this evening was my last in Glasgow before heading home via Newcastle tomorrow. We decided to go for a Tapas dinner at a nearby Spanish restaurant, which was extremely tasty. A great way to end my stint north of the border.
