Day #225

Day #225Title: Earth Cache
Location: Fryerning Lane, Ingatestone
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 17-40mm EF f/4 L USM
Extras: Wireless Remote
Notes: Today I went looking for a special king of geocache called an Earth Cache. You don’t look for a physical box but the co-ordinates should take you to somewhere with geological interest. These are the Sarsen Stones that give Ingatestone its name. Often, one of the conditions of logging a “find” is to photograph yourself at the location – so here I am, killing two birds with two stones!

Day #94

Day #94Title: Faceless Uniformity
Location: Chelmsford High Street
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 18-55mm EF f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
Extras: Mini Tripod / Wireless Remote
Notes: I popped into town this morning to run a couple of errands. I was looking forward to having lunch at my favourite independent café, Cherry On Top (renowned for its amazing cakes). To my horror, I got there only to find it has turned into a Dunkin’ Donuts while I have been away! This made me very sad. I wandered around the town in a bad mood, but had a look in The Works stationery outlet where I found a papier-mâché mask, which gave me an idea for this image. I hate that such places with character are slowly turning into chains of faceless uniformity.
