Day #226

Day #226Title: After Club, Down The Pub
Location: King William IV, Great Notley
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 17-40mm EF f/4 L USM
Extras: Gorillapod / Self-Timer
Notes: After our photo club meetings, some of us will often go to the local pub for a pint and a chat. I haven’t been able to attend for a few weeks, so made the most of the social time this evening. Our Chairman John is the one trying to make his point in the middle!

Day #183Title: ‘Aving A Larf
Location: Margate
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 17-40mm EF f/4 L USM
Extras: Gorillapod / Self-timer
Notes: Today I visited three piers in Kent – Gravesend Town, Herne Bay and Deal for my Piers Of The Realm project. As I was in the vicinity, I stopped by to visit my friend Julian who’s birthday is next Monday. We went for dinner and a pint at a local pub. It was great to catch up. Here’s us having a laugh as the food arrived.

Day #137Title: Gurning Champion?
Location: Rose & Crown Pub, Writtle
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 18-55mm EF f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
Extras: Taken by a friend
Notes: I went to a local geocaching meetup today in Writtle. One of the travel bugs turned out to be this enormous horse collar, perfect for gurning! I wasn’t about to take it with me to put into another cache though – it’s far too big to carry!

Location: The Woolpack, Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 18-55mm EF f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
Extras: Mini Tripod / Wireless Remote
Notes:  I enjoyed an evening at a local geocachers’ meeting. This is what I would look like if I had actually sampled all of these beers at The Woolpack… As it was, I just had a couple of no-alcohol brews as I was driving.

Day #72

Day #72Title: Slightly Squiffy
Location: Bricklayer’s Arms, Fitzrovia, London
Camera: Canon EOS 100D / 18-55mm EF f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
Extras: Mini tripod / Wireless Remote
Notes: Back in 2005 some folks from the London web development community started a monthly get-together called PubStandards. It has met regularly once a month ever since. This evening we celebrated Pubstandards 100 – an event which has been in many of our diaries for 7 years! The festivities kicked off a bit earlier than normal (it’s usually just an evening do) and there was a huge turn out. We might have had a few pints and been slightly squiffy when I took this…
