Light As A Feather
Title: Light As A Feather
Location: Hornsea, East Yorkshire
Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX8 / Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 Lumix G X Vario ASPH Power OIS
Notes: I had a lovely picnic by the sea at Hornsea on my way home from Newcastle today. This gull feather was spotted lying in the sand, and I thought it would make a good image for today’s Mono Mayhem shot.

Title: Breakthrough
Location: Happisburgh, Norfolk
Camera: Canon EOS 5D MkIII / 100mm EF f/2.8 L IS USM
Notes: I spotted this battered section of the sea defences while out walking on the beach at Happisburgh with photographic friends from GNPC today. It reminded me of the power of the sea, relentlessly breaking through the rusting plates twice a day. I loved the splashes caught in the foreground and the breaking wave behind in this particular shot, although I made many others.

Life's A BeachTitle: Life’s A Beach
Location: North East Aircraft Museum, Sunderland
Camera: Canon EOS 7D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: We spent the afternoon with friends from the Newcastle Photo Walk group at the North East Aircraft Museum near Sunderland. The place is branching out and also has a few old trams on display, as well as military vehicles. This is a detail from one of the Blackpool Pleasure Beach trams which sits outside the main hangar. Read more about today’s outing.
