I spent over five hours in the car travelling back from Newcastle today. It was hot and sunny, but there were few opportunities for pictures along the way. So when I got home I went for a stroll around the neighbourhood to stretch my legs a little and catch the spectacular sunset:

Happy Birthday Blog!
My very first post was quite a short affair, talking about my a trip to Barcelona I had just taken. I tend to write a bit more now, it’s interesting to see how the style has changed over the last six years.
Originally the photographic posts were in amongst my main geek blog, but I soon realised I had two distinct audiences and so started the photo blog seperately. It’s lived at several different addresses too, but finally settled at cazphoto.co.uk sometime in 2008, when I moved the archive permanently here.

I’ve been working on the Election Programme for the BBC over the past few weeks as a Freelance Engineer (going back to my first career). There is lots of preparation to do beforehand, and plenty of work to pack it all up again afterwards. But if our team have done our job properly, there’s not actually a lot we should have to do during transmission. So I was able to wander around taking some record shots of the whole setup whilst the show was on air.
And here is a group shot I was asked to take of (most of) the production team, during rehearsals.
