Today was the first day of my trip to Granada and the Alpujarras in Spain. The flight was quick and efficient, taking off from London City Airport which meant I saw the sights of the Capital from above. There were also some lovely clouds along the way:
Once I had checked into my hotel I took a walk around the streets of Granada looking for some geocaches. I also found some interesting graffiti:
The sun was shining and the architecture was always worth a look, especially these attractive railings in front of an old church:
I found another intriguing church thanks to looking for one cache – the Basílica de San Juan de Dios – decorated with gold from top to toe. Quite incredible!
My mono image for the day features some Shadows On The Corner. Here are a few more shots from the day:
Well I’ve now completed the second month of selfies, without too much pain. Here are some out-takes which didn’t quite make the cut for February – click the thumbnails to view a slideshow:
September has turned out to be a very busy month! I still spent much of it working up in London but I still managed a few interesting events and walkabouts. One of my first outings of the month was an evening photowalk around Shoreditch for some Street Photography. It was a very fruitful shoot. Here’s one from the evening:
I was back in London a few days later but this time during the daylight. It was another productive outing around Aldwych, Shoreditch and Camden:
On 20th September I took my portfolio down to the Royal Photographic Society HQ in preparation for my forthcoming FRPS distinction assessment in October. Then I had a lovely potter around Bath with my camera before getting the train home again.
Another four 50@50 pictures were captured, with #34, #35 and #36 found during London walkabouts, while #37 was one I spotted at Bletchley Park during this year’s Over The Air conference. I even did a presentation at OTA on my Face Down Tuesday images, which went down very well.
I managed just one more FDT this month though, the Foggy Barbican Edition.
There were also plenty of opportunities for Mono images this month, including Fleeting Shadows, Stainless Struts, Diamonds And Steel, Box Sections, Number 69, The Happy Bear, Leonard Street Shadows, George Street Steps and The Library Window.
I’ve had a great couple of months working in London during August and September, finding many interesting shots on The Walk To Work – here are a couple of examples:
I had several errands to run in London today, between Aldwych, Shoreditch and Camden. It was a lovely sunny day so I decided to walk between the various locations (I had the time) rather than squashing onto the tube. One part of my route took me along the Regent’s Canal past King’s Cross, a part of London which I had not explored before.
I found another 50@50 image too, #36. Here are the rest of my images from the day:
