I had a great trip to see the Round Table Fireworks display at Billericay last night. I was very pleased with my pictures this time around, they turned out even better than my last attempt at firework photography in 2011. I was still following my tips for photographing fireworks but I think there wasn’t so much smoke blowing about this year, so it made for better contrast than last time. Here’s a small selection:
GNPC tend to have outdoor photowalks as much as possible during the Summer months. Today was our club night and we had arranged a visit to the village of Colne Engaine in the north of the county. I arrived a few hours ahead of time and did a spot of geocaching before joining the members at the agreed meeting point. There was a very good turn out!
We had a long walk (I did 9.5 miles in total, four in the evening with the rest of the group) to a local reservoir, arriving just before sunset. Here is a selection of images I made during the afternoon and evening walks:
